AtroCore has launched a new feature called Field Value Lock, designed to make sure that the information a person enters manually is never quietly overwritten by automated processes running in the background.
When you take the time to update something by hand, you expect it to stay that way. Field Value Lock makes sure it does, no matter what runs in the background. With Field Value Lock, protecting specific pieces of information from being overridden is built directly into the platform, with no workarounds or manual vigilance needed.
How It Works
When a user changes a field by hand, a small padlock icon appears next to it. That lock is a signal that the value was set on purpose and doesn't need to be changed. Any automated process that would normally overwrite that field will now skip it entirely.
Users can lock or unlock any field with a single click, and can remove all locks from a record at once if needed. Administrators can also choose which fields should never be lockable, for instance, fields that always need to stay in sync with live data.
Field Value Lock is available now as part of the Advanced Data Management module and can be enabled by an administrator in the application settings.
